  • Can you potcontrol with a turndonk?

So I was wondering what to do in the following hand. I would like to bet bigger, but I don't really want to raise, as I also don't know what to do on a reraise. So this way Villain is setting a price for the next street, which really sucks. Is this a good donkbet on the turn? What to do about it? I'm a fish.

I see, only someone who understands ' why it really sucks ' can be of help.

I see no problem with just calling here.

The turn is far better for his range so the lead is probably a good play (don't know for sure, never studied the spot).

There's a good chance that the villain is unbalanced when he does this, but until we know if he's over-valuing or over-bluffing we just need to stick to a straightforward strategy and calling does just that.

I now understand that I suck in every aspect of the game, while a few years ago I had the impression I was really great. Obviously I was not. But it was enough to win then.
          Working...
