  • What level to play online?

Seeing a lot of videos from JL, and online posts in fact, about how hard 1/2 and 2/5 are online (but not live).
I've got a good roi on tournaments but really not in cash but it seems like I shouldn't even bother online if it's that tough. I have played a lot of 1/2 but just swinging around break even most of the time after 30k hands. I know the sample is not enough but I just don't have a lot of time to play these days - maybe 1-2 hours per day.
Maybe I should save my week time and just play live AT the weekend or focus on one big tournament each week.

I thought he said it was soft, $40 / hr or so ?

From MTT , breaking even is impressive.

No, I'm positive in MTT but negative in cash.
JL said live is soft but online seems very tough at this level.

        Yeah $40ph is a reasonable live win-rate.

I think playing one big tournament a week isn't a good idea. The variance is just way too high.

Perhaps using your 1-2 hours a day to study instead of playing online with a view to then playing a stronger game live could definitely be +ev for you.

That or move down to 25 or 50 NL and multi table more?

There's no harm in trying both and then comparing the profitability.

tough to beat the variance, not so much the opponents being spectacular ..
