I would (hopefully) fold both of these.

The first spot probably should've been avoided by just folding pre. As played though I think you have to call the flop and turn but facing a 3rd barrel I would be letting it go.

The second one is a bit stranger. I would be asking myself what hands would the villain be doing this as a bluff with? Realistically few to none. Players frequently make the mistake of calling with their suited connectors out of position without getting the correct implied odds and so this flop and turn is likely to hit him very hard. Even if he is potentially overvaluing a hand like 2p in this situation we are still behind and not getting the odds to continue.

I felt a bit uncomfortable calling the first hand, the second vs that V was much easier.

If I remember the second hand correctly now I felt like I was only losing to exactly 88 or if he got splashy with some 8x like A8s 98s 87s but even those hands don't make a great deal of sense with me betting in to him.

Well then well played. Both plays by villain seem fairly maniacal and I'd venture to say would not be typical of the average population hence my folds. It seems you've got him pegged down well and could therefore exploit him and isn't that the aim of them game? Nice one.

I definitely would have called down both, but I am also a calling station. I do like to call the first one for sure to make sure to keep the guy honest. If I win that one, I gotta think I have a chance to be good on the second as well.

I don't need to post anything. Just take the consensus and reverse it.

no way I am folding 2nd hand... I guess you folded in the 1st hand.

I called both. I've turned from a nit into a calling station. Now I need to find the proper balance.

I don't think it is bad if you called both... gain insight.

So what he had ? both hands
