    BB Villian : checks
    Hero Lojack [Qh Jh] checks

(here I was not particularly scared getting outdrawn, as I recognized villian as a very good player I wanted to cap my range by checking; also I have a marginal hand and a draw and the marginal factor is usually more important)

    BB Villian bets 1500
    Hero Lojack calls 1500

    *** RIVER *** [9d Tc Qc 3d] [5s]Potsize 4669

BB Villian bets 3725 and is all-in

I agree that this seems like a good hand to check back flop with. If you recognize villain as a really good player I assume that means he's capable of bluffing. If that's the case, calling turn and calling river is the play.

15/12 is pretty tight though, is it not? I don't know what your sample size was against this villain.
