  • Recommended poker cruises?

    Out of interest, has anyone gone on a poker cruise? Or cruise where there is poker
    wondering if any recommendations for as part of a vacation or just good ones

    Nope.. but have played poker on regular cruises and it can be very profitable; LOTs of weak players and people having fun... I cleaned up on my last cruise... and after 10pm at night, spouse didn’t mind my playing, if I’d done things with her during the day and was winning!

      nothing monstrous... 2/5 game... played small... about $3000

    The real problem on general cruises is that the rake is extra high. Between that and people not wanting to play big pots makes it hard to win. I have looked at the cruises from Cardplayer magazine and Ante-up magazine, but have never gone on one. The one that I did sign up for was canceled due to a lack of players.

      The HPT cruise seems to get a decent number of people but I’ve never done it myself.

        I listen to the Ante-Up podcast and it seems like their cruises are well run and have a pretty good group of players that go on them.
